Shakira said that she took the chorus from a Cameroon song .
Shakira wrote the verses and added the waka waka chorus which was a popular song in Colombia in the 80's , where she grew upfrom being a kid .
She said that since she was a child she wanted to sing that chorus and found the opportunity to do it in the World cup games.
